We saved the best for last on this fabulous double dippin’ Friday! It’s hard to tell which was better, the beer infused cheese dip or the deliciously fresh pretzel bread, but when the two are combined, an overwhelming sense of peace warms the soul – and then comes the urge to grab the rest and run. Sharing is caring though, so we left a little for others to taste (with a time limit, of course).
1/2 cup porter beer
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups white cheddar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 drops hot sauce
1/4 cup leeks, chopped and sautéed
1 loaf fresh pretzel bread
There’s going to be a little left over porter while cooking and it would be a shame to let it go to waste…
